Tommy Bruce has been behind the bench for the D1 AA-Gold Lions since the 2018-2019 season and has been an assistant coach for the D1 squad since 2024-2025. Bruce played four years at Lindenwood, winning four Division 1 national championships (2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008) and graduating with both his graduate (2015) and undergraduate (2009) degrees at Lindenwood.

Bruce also represented team USA in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2017 (winning a gold medal in 2006). In 2008, Bruce won a MOIHA state championship as an assistant coach for Francis Howell North. In 2016, he led Fort Zumwalt West to a MOIHA state championship as the head coach.
